محمد بن یوسف، مالک بن مغول، طلحہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے عبد اللہ بن ابی اوفی سے پوچھا کہ کیا نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کچھ وصیت کی ہے؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا، نہیں، میں نے کہا پھر لوگوں پر وصیت کرنا کیوں فرض ہے؟ ہم لوگوں کو تو حکم دیا گیا ہے، اور حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وصیت نہیں کی، انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کتاب اللہ پر عمل کرنے کی وصیت فرمائی ہے۔
