Fadlullah calls for celebrating Ashura and the new Hijri year in an Islamic and a unified manner away from myth and exaggeration His Eminence, the Religious Authority, Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, noticed an aggravating danger in the American, Israeli, and even the Arab talk on the arms of the resistance; however, he said that there is a far more dangerous issue which is the ongoing attempts to foment sedition, once again, in the Islamic reality, as well as in other positions and locations outside the scope of the hot regions that are witnessing political and security turmoil. He also warned from the American talk on a Sunni – Shiite war and confirmed that this actually represents desires that are meant to be turned, through practical steps, into plots that have their own players and manipulators. He called for celebrating Ashura and the new Hijri year in an Islamic and unified manner, away from backwardness and myth. On the occasion of Ashura, His Eminence issued the following statement: We want everyone, through the occasion of Ashura, to open up to the Islamic history, so that celebrating it would become part of the movement of reviving the Islamic rise that started from the juncture of the noble Prophet (p.)'s migration, as well as other junctures that represent a new start for cementing Islam and consecrating Islamic unity throughout the Islamic world, so that the all the Muslims would eventually celebrate Ashura and the noble Prophet (p.)'s migration as two primary occasions for enrooting the movement of Islam in reality and protecting this movement in the future. We, Muslims, ought to be aware of what is being schemed against us on our own land, and what is being schemed against Islam, in general, in the world, for the tyrants and arrogant people are setting plots for executing big massacres against Muslims in their own countries so as to spill their blood just like it was spilled in Ashura, rewinding the Gaza tragedy, as well as other tragedies, within a continuous aim for besieging the positions of opposition and resistance in the Islamic world. Therefore, we notice how the American and Israeli talks, as well as the Arabs in some of their positions, persist on the arms of the resistance and their strategic danger on the Zionist entity, without hearing anyone talking about the great threats imposed by Israel's nuclear weapons, and the American arsenals of arms that are sent to the enemy's entity on a regular basis. When we read the statements of the American officials that talk about a Sunni – Shiite war and count the regions in which these expected wars are to break and point out to the points of contrived sectarian tension that nurture on political titles manipulated by known international axes and parties, we cannot but conclude that these people are actually expressing their desires that they would eventually turn into plots that have their own players and manipulators. Moreover, the Zionist enemy would sigh upon these seditions, since it is expressing its fear and concern from the "unprecedented coordination" between the "members of radical axes", referring to the resistance forces in Lebanon and Palestine and the positions of opposition in the region. Even though we are sure that things will not be easy for this sedition project, especially that the nation has become aware of those plotters and sensed that the enemy is behind them, we stress that the nation's vital forces ought to work hard t all levels to protect Islamic unity. Moreover, we call on them to protect the Ashura ceremony from all the plans that aim at placing it in the circle of ignorance, backwardness, and exaggeration, and to render it an Islamic and a unifying occasion that gathers Muslims of all sects and affiliations together to declare that they hold on to their Islam and unity and that they would confront all the attempts that aim at fomenting strife amongst them or distorting the image of the noble religion; an attempt conducted by various opposing and biased media means, as well as backward internal ones. |

Was not Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. had more knowledge of Taurat than Jews themselves? To divert the attention of the event and reality of Ashura the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain a.s.; Sunni have invented a Hadith that put our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. down. This is blasphemous statement to say Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. learned from Jews regarding fasting on Ashura. Ashura is a day of mourning. Ashura is a day to protest against the saitanic Yazid's oppression towards Ahlul Bayt a.s. Ashura is a day to demonstrate against the oppression of Ahlul Bayt a.s.
