Virtues of Ameerul Momineen (a.s.)

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahe wa Barakatahu

  Abi Sa'id al-Khidri says says: I heard the Messenger of Allah ( s.a.w.) saying :

" On the Judgement day. Almighty Allah will order two angels to watch over the Path (Siraat) and guard it. None shall pass it (to paradise) without having a pass issued by Ali ibn Abi Talib ( a.s.). As for those who do not have a pass, Almighty Allah will order these two angels to stop them ans ask them about it. Once one fails to answer, then angels will throw him into Hellfire on the head."

Presenting evidence, the Holy Prophet referred to this holy verse: "And stop them, for verily they must be questioned. (37:24)"

I asked the Holy Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah, may Allah accept my father and mother as ransoms for you! Please tell me what this pas which Ali gives is."

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) replied, "This is what is written on the pass with a very bright light:

la ilaaha illa'llah muhammadun rasulullah aliyyun waliyyullah.

(There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Ali is the Representative of Allah)."
