GLOBAL COMMUNITY URGED TO PLAY ROLE

PAKISTAN-KARACHI- Leaders of religious and political parties and intellectuals on Monday urged the international community to play their due role to end the illegitimate occupation of Israel from the holy land of Palestine, and said that peace could not be restored in the region with out resolving the chronic burning issue.

They strongly rejected the illegitimate occupation of the Zionist state over the soil of Palestine, and said that Zionists of the entire world had made Pakistan a war ground to protect Israel.

They were speaking at a Round Table Conference entitled "Palestine: 61 years of Israel occupation" held on Monday, at a local hotel which was organized by the Palestine Foundation (PLF) Pakistan at a local hotel. Those, who spoke at the occasion, included PPP's Central leader ND Khan, Tehreek-e-Insaf Central General Secretary Dr Arif Alvi, PML-N Central leader Hafeezuddin, Former MNA Jamaat-e-Islami leader Muzzafar Ahmed Hashmi, JUP Provincial leader Qazi Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui, Jaffaria Alliance Central leader Allama Aftab Haider Jafferi, Senior Journalist Idress Bukhtiar, Prof Haroon Rasheed of Karachi University, Maulana Munawar Naqvi, Noted Scholar Osama Bin Razi. They criticized the United Nation and Muslim countries for holding their criminal silence over the aggression of Israel on the innocent people of Palestine. They vowed to extend their support to the struggle of Palestinian people for Free State.

The speakers urged every political party of Pakistan to play its role in the struggle of Palestine and to give their representation through nomination in the Palestine Foundation to overrule the Zionist dominance.
PPP's leader and Former Federal Minister Prof ND Khan said that United Nation had not played its role to resolve the issue of Palestine, adding that UN had forgotten its role and working as an agent of imperialist's powers.
He said that there are two important issues faced by the world; dispute of Palestine and Kashmir dispute.
"I want to ask the world community, what's the requirement of the justice for the Palestine issue", he asked.
He underlined the need of the unity among the Muslims of the world to resolve their issues at their own.
Criticizing the role of Arab league, he alleged that the main object of the Arab league has to split the Muslims and the Arab countries are also not performing their role to resolve the dispute of Palestine.
Tehreek-e-Insaf Central General Secretary Dr Arif Alvi said that there are thousands of incidents about the brutality of Israel on the oppressed people of Palestine.

He urged the people to equip themselves with the knowledge to meet the challenges of the rivals of the Muslims.
Condemning the brutality of the Zionist regime Israel, he recalled that Israeli Army had killed more than fifty thousand people in Lebanon in 1983.
PML-N leader Hafeezuddin said that Israeli state is identical to Pakistan in the regard that both of these are only founded on ideological basis.
He said that imperialists' powers wanted to disturb the Muslims of the world by creating conflicts of Palestine, Kashmir, Afghanistan and Iraq.He regretted that Muslims have forgotten their objectives, but the west is still working on its agenda.

Jamaat-e-Islami leader and former MNA Muzaffar Ahmed Hashmi expressed that no power in the world can ruin the struggle of Palestinians. In the presence of Palestine Foundation is here in Pakistan, no other country can acknowledge Israel.

Agha Aftab Jaffri said that Muslim rulers were responsible for the crises of Palestine, saying that they were appeasing US and western countries to prolong their rulership in their countries.

He applauded the heroic struggle of Hezbullah and Hamas saying that oppressed people of Lebanon and Palestine had defeated the Zionist regime through their belief in Allah Almighty.
