In Colombo, Burhani Council for Human Resources Development conducted a seminar titled Awakenings on the potential for Development in North and East Sri Lanka, now that the war is virtually if not fully over. Janaab Amil Saheb and Muwain Amil Sahe and Ayyan al JAmaat and Mumineen and Muminaat took part.
The council was set up by Colombo Amil Saheb under auspices of Colombo Anjuman e Saifi. 1.5 years ago with raza of Aqa Moula to assist small and medium businesses and make recommendations to relevant committees regarding loans and to assist students with further studies and to conduct workshops and seminars.
The work shop was held on 16 May 2009 in the afternoon.
There were 4 speakers and they spoke on the ground situation and potential of investing in North and East Sri Lanka.
This was followed by a panel discussion. Members of Government Ministries attended and spoke and met Janaab Amil Saheb.
Janaab Amil Saheb made the concluding remarks.
