------------ Abdolmalek Rigi was arrested
IRI's Intelligence Ministry announced on Tuesday that Abdolmalek Rigi, head of Jundollah terrorist band was arrested eastern country in an operation by the Ministry's forces. On June 14, 2008, the notorious Rigi terrorist band kidnapped 14 Iranian border guards across Sarawan border, eastern Iran and killed them awhile later. In another act of terror, the grouplet murdered a number of people and took several others hostage after setting up a fake checkpoint in Tasuki area southeastern Iran. Many of the victims, among them minors, were civilians on holiday journeys. The grouoplet also assassinated several commanders of IRI's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. The terror group was sponsored by some extremist countries in the region and some western states.
