Even Abu Sufyan was amazed with the success of the Prophet. At one time Abu Sufyan said ' I swear by what Abu Sufyan used to swear there is neither Hell nor Paradise' at which Uthman ordered his men to take him out. Abu Sufayn was never despair that one day Islam would collapse, many utterances by him attest to this fact, sheikh further elaborated. He added that Mu' awiyyah the son of Abu Sufyan followed the precedence of his father in showing hat rage toward the Prophet. There was a time he attempted, in vain, to remove from Adhan(call to prayer) the phrase ' I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of God" The next atrocity of Mu' awiyah was in installing his son Yazid as his successor, despite his agreement with Imam Hassan(AS). He violated all conditions agreed upon during his settlement with Imam Hassan. In order to achieve his aim of installing his son, he poisoned Imam Hassan to death thorough an outcast woman, and when the news of Imam' s death reached him he broke into laugh!! Sheikh reciting Ziyara of Imam Husain(AS) After the death of Imam Hassan, his brother Imam Husain wanted to burry him beside the tomb of his grand father Prophet Muhammad(SAWA) whereupon another Fitnah came up where one woman led an army to object the action of Imam Husain(AS). In order to avoid bloodshed on a simple matter, Imam Husain changed his intention. Later on, Mu' awiiyah ordered everybody to pay allegiance to Yazid except six people whom he knew that they would object. Imam Husain(AS) was among the six people. Mu'awiyyah was described as treacherous by historians and as such he and Yazid begin a trip to a far place. When they reached outskirt of the city Mu'awiayyh sent for the six people to come so that he would bid them farewell. Muawaiyy and Yazid held a long discussion in the absent of anybody with the six people. He even gave them some gift which include new robes for each. When they dispersed Mu'wiyyah told his followers that the six people also paid allegiance to Yazid. So he fooled people in believing that Imam Husain(AS) paid allegiance to a sinner Yazid. What a treachery!! However despite the fact that he told people that Imam Husain paid allegiance he still warned Yazid to leave Imam Husain alone for fear of loosing leadership, because Mu' awiyyah knew that harming Ahlul Bayt will make Ummayad loose leadership altogether. But stubborn Yazid could not understand the reasoning of his father, he thought he could deal with the Imam. He therefore sent later to his governor in Medina Walid to take allegiance from the six including Imam Husain(AS). Walid and his Minister Marwan connived on how to get Imam Husain to pay allegiance, all in vain. So Imam Husain fully knowing the evil intention of the rulers decided to leave Medina seeking to bring reform in the religion of his grandfather as he stated in the will he left to his brother Ibn Hanafiyyah. Imam Husain stayed in Mecca from the Month of Rajab and left in Dhul Hajj. Reforming Islam is the mission of Imam Husain(AS). The mission of any Prophet of God is establishment of religion weather he succeeded or not. Sheikh Zakzaky narrated the event of Karbala where forces of evils brutally killed the son of the Prophet, his family members and his companions just to obliterate Islam altogether. He narrated how each of Imam followers sacrificed his life in the plain of Karbala. The spirit of Imam sacrifice will continue to exist and with it Islam come back strong upto the reappearance of Imam Mahdi(AJ). Sheikh Zakzaky concluded by reciting Ziyara of Imam Husain(as). Sheikh Zakzkay continued to narrate the event of Ashura and the lessons therein. He explained that the 23 years spent by the Prophet (AS) to change a people who lived years of wars and conflict is a greatest miracle of the Prophet(AS) as this kind of change takes generation.
