نصر بن علی جہضمی، عبدالصمد بن عبدالوارث، شعبة، عاصم، ابوصالح، حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا قیامت کے دن صاحب قرآن آئے گا۔ تو قرآن اپنے رب سے عرض کرے گا۔ یا اللہ اسے جوڑا پہنا پھر اسے عزت کا تاج پہنایا جائے گا۔ وہ (قرآن) عرض کرے گا یا اللہ ! اسے مزید پہنا۔ چنانچہ پھر اسے عزت کا جوڑا پہنایا جائے گا۔ پھر وہ عرض کرے گا یا اللہ اس سے راضی ہو جا تو اللہ تعالی اس سے راضی ہو جائے گا۔ پھر اس سے کہا جائے گا کہ پڑھتا جا اور سیڑھیاں (درجات) چڑھتا جا اور ہر آیت کے بدلے ایک نیکی زیادہ کی جائے گی۔ یہ حدیث حسن ہے۔

باب قرآن میں سے ایک حرف پڑھنے کا اجر
Sayyidina Abu Huraira (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: On the Day of resurrection the man of the Qur'an (who is devoted to it deeply) will come and the Qur'an will say, "O Lord! Let him have a pair of garments." He will be made to wear a crown of honour. It will say, "O Lord, increase it." So he will be made to wear a robe of honour. Then it will say, "O Lord, be pleased with him." So, He will be pleased with him. It will be said, "Recite and ascend (a rank)", with every verse a piety will be added.
