NAIVE MUSLIMS AND SMART SHAYATEEN PART 3

(In) our public discourse, meaning in the khutbahs/talks/Conferences and whichever congregation/ Convention that we have there is a scarcity of rational thought/presentations about we, the Muslims, gaining power. This may be due to the general debilitated state of affairs that has accompanied us for a long time. In our current world we have movements of hundreds of millions of people who are Muslim by identity/ culture/traditions. These people are moving and they've been moving in the past several months. The climax of these events may have been the initial outburst of the people in Tunisia/Egypt and in the course/heat of the moment some Muslims may feel more emotions than they are able to process with their minds. In other words, as these events have been unfolding we haven't heard enough Qur'anic direction for what is happening. What is the Qur'anic/Prophetic understanding of what is happening? We Muslims should never be creatures of our moments reacting to events that take us by surprise and then leave us befuddled. This is not an Islamic character. When events happen we should be equipped to understand them as they unfold and as we should charter/give to them. Therefore in the sequence of events, (now there's time/a little distance between the media coverage that was on these events a few months ago, (you can recall the saturation that was in the press/TV/webcasts/commentaries), of these events; now with the advantage of the distance we have there are still movements/people who are going out in their millions in different areas. In places like Al Yemen/Syria/Bahrain the populations in their majority are in a mass movement against the Regimes that govern over them, but what is absent in this context are some relevant ayaat that should have been reverberating in the Masjid/discussed by the Muslims/used to understand what is happening as well as some hadiths. Right now, we know that people are trying to decide their future in these areas/countries and at this time when they are trying to decide what to do/where to go/what form of Government they want/how much popular participation they will work into their future, what is interfering here is that there is a military class that acts as a barrier between the people and their future. How should you/I/the other Muslim feel at this moment? This moment may be extended. It may go on for as year/more time than that or less- Allah knows. At this moment we should think of Allah's word/ayah in Surah An Nisa'

… and Allah is not going to have the Kafirs in a superior position to the committed Muslims/yield to the Kafirs when it comes to the committed Muslims/give passage-way to the Kafirs when committed Muslims are involved … (Surah An Nisa' verse 141)

These elements are prevalent in whichever country you are looking at. The Muslim people should know this. Not only that, the Muslim people should move forward knowing that Allah is on their side and the Kafirs have no gap through which they can make inroads to undermine the bloc of committed Muslims. This is what it's going to take. It's going to take the words of Allah to penetrate the minds of the Muslims to seep in to their psychology (and) then to become their public/social behaviour.

Another ayah that we should repeat/recall knowing what is happening in these countries. You hear about the Generals in the army tapping on the experience of some Judges/Politicians trying to set a course for their Muslim population. Another ayah that should be common knowledge in this context is

You, the committed Muslims who are the crux/core/components of the masses of the people), don't side with the Kafirs as your allies/superiors to the exclusion of Al Mu'mineen…. (Surah Aal Imran verse 28)

When these Muslims in the hundreds of millions are standing up- many of them have broken the barrier of fear- and (are) looking for a direction to gain their self-rule, do you think the Imperial/Super/Hegemonic/ Occupation/Invasion powers are all absent or honouring their praise for "freedom/liberty for all"? Let's not be naïve. They are their in the military ranks. Most of these military people came to the Kafir Establishments where they were supposed to gain expertise, but along with it they were sold-in to the Western/non-Islamic paradigm. Allah is saying

You, the committed Muslims who are the crux/core/components of the masses of the people), don't side with the Kafirs as your allies/superiors to the exclusion of Al Mu'mineen…. (Surah Aal Imran verse 28)

In the middle of this, this ayah should be ringing bells for the Muslims everywhere, especially those now who are out there in the streets with brutal military forces in front of them. Who do you rely on in this case? As salaah is not valid without reading Al Fatihah and in Al Fatihah we read

You alone we conform to and You alone ask for assistance. (Surah Al Fatihah verse 4)

Are we true to that? How does this meaning translate at this level of affairs? Are we truly complying with Allah and seeking Allah's help or are they seeking someone else's help? They're going to military Regimes/people with financial power and they want their support. What do you say of Muslims whose character is this? These Officials/military brass all go to salah/pray and they all say

You alone we conform to and You alone ask for assistance. (Surah Al Fatihah verse 4)

But when it comes to making decisions to where tens of millions of people are going to be moving in the coming years how are they going to formulate their decision-making body? Are they saying/meaning in their salaah what they are doing with these decisions? Then, by implication, Allah/this ayah says

… if you do rely on the Kafirs to the exclusion of Allah then you would have given Allah the evident authority against you. (Surah Aal Imran verse 28)

These are the critical moments that we are going through. Do we want to give Allah/have Him practice the authority of retribution as evident as it becomes when we side with the Kafirs and exclude Allah from the equation from figuring out what our future is going to be?

Then Allah says in this ayah Surah Al Anfal

The Kafirs… (Surah Al Anfal verse 73)

We, Muslims, have been taken to the pits with the translation of the word Kafir/Kafireen. It doesn't mean unbeliever/blasphemer/heven. The Kafireen are those who have their minds set on opposing Allah's power/ authority in deciding the affairs of men- these are the Kafirs. They have many colours/persuasions/ ideologies/religions- they could be Muslims/Christians/Jews as far as religion is concerned.

… they are the allies of each other … (Surah Al Anfal verse 73)

Can we get this straight? Can we please understand this point? That's where are our mind should be conclusive. This is where the affair is settled. That's true. Hosni Mubarak/Netanyahu/the Presidents in the White House (and) those in other countries- where are we in this? Do anyone of us belong to these? Now if we don't consider this to be the case, don't let these Orientalists on the Saudi brainwashed types with their translations and mindless presence- some of them are vile in their thinking and some of them don't have any mind at all but they meet when they mischaracterise Allah's meanings. A Kafir is who? The Saudi types come around and they'll tell you "a Kafir is…" (and then they'll give you some type of trivial issue that makes a person a Kafir), "…wearing some type of pant's makes a person a Kafir!" What type of nonsense is this!? Allah is speaking to you- no one else

… if you are not set on understanding this fact, that the Kafirs themselves form an axis of evil against committed Muslims … (Surah Al Anfal verse 73)

Yeah, we can take their words. They form an axis of evil- this is their type of wilayah. If you cannot actualise this meaning, (first of all if you can't understand this and then after you understand it if you don't behave this (because) you, the committed Muslims, are sure in your public conscience and you are certain in you social minds that these Kafirs altogether are one bloc),

… then you are going to be subjected to a fitnah/ seduction and a consuming corruption that will decay you. (Surah Al Anfal verse 73)

These ayaat we remember/recall with our God-given mind not like some people who just want to recite ayaat and their mind is below their waist level- not those types. You're mesmerised on the meaning of these ayaat. Remember this ayah when we have today millions of people who are agitating for Islamic self-determination. Are they of a solid mind that these Kafirs all around (are) the same Kafir powers that are trying to make in-roads in these movements who have already trained many of these Officers now who are sitting in their meeting rooms trying to decide the future of their own people. We can't consider them? We can't come to a stable idea that these rulers especially the ones in Arabia/America, (just to take two classes of Rulers). The ones in Arabia/America are cut from the same cloth, they share the same interests and they are bound by the same priorities. Why can't we see this? What's interfering with our perception of this? What's happening in your mind/heart that makes you incapable of recognising this truth? They dispense with each other. It's not like they have loyalty/trust/honour among them. One of them, Mubarak, (the previous Ruler of Egypt), when they realised that the popular movement is too much and they can no longer side with Mubarak and his henchmen- drop him!

Their behaviour is exactly like Ash Shaytaan- Ash Shaytaan tells man "become a denier of Allah's power/authority " and when man turns to become a denier of Allah's power and authority, Ash Shaytaan himself says I have nothing to do with you/I'm innocent of your acts." (Surah Al Hashr verse 16)

That's how they behave- Shaytaani behaviour and it all unfolds in front of our very eyes. The Pharoah of Egypt/the Despot of Tunisia/the Abu Jahl of Arabia- all of them now either have realised/are realising that there is a new spirit among their own populations. Their populations are not what it used to be. We should realise that on the other side of this, those who supported Dictators/Monarchs/illegitimate Presidents/those who financed oppression/repression in our lands/those who gave an air of legitimacy to crooks/thieves who are ruling in palaces/mansions haven't gone away. Their voices are now louder than ever. They are applying/thinking of moving in with a policy in the coming years of "privately kill and publicly chill", meaning (that) behind the scenes they're going to be involved in trying to eliminate the frontline of this movement of people, especially the Islamic frontline of the movements of these people; meanwhile, in public they'll put a smile on their face/appear to be as cold as ice.

One of the leaders of one of the contemporary Islamic Movements said "if we, meaning we who are involved in Islamic self-determination/the independent Islamic Movement, were left alone…" That exists- brothers and sisters. Left alone" meaning these outside Kafir powers/forces were not interfering in our own affairs with their military/media/spies/agents  "… we could change/we can resume our Islamic direction/lifestyle/self-determination/governance in thirty years."  But they won't leave us alone as you can /continue to see. A hadith of Allah's Prophet, that also should be remembered as we look at the unfolding of these events, if you see my Ummah/people afraid/intimidated to say to a dhalim "you are a dhalim" then say farewell to them; meaning there's no value to it/merit to you who say "you are followers of the Prophet" if you are afraid to a Dhalim "you are a dhalim." This is exactly what these people are trying to say now when they are going out and expressing their internal thoughts/feelings on those who rule over them with fire/iron. The Prophet of Allah says, (and this is another hadith that we should never forget in circumstances like these), what is Allah's Prophet saying? The best leaders you have are the ones who you like/love (and) they like/love you; you grace them and they grace you; and the worst leaders that you have are the ones that you hate and they hate you and you curse/condemn (them) and they curse/ condemn you. This is what the Muslims in today's movements of people are trying to say. As this movement continues only Allah knows the future. The Prophet of Allah says if I were to know al ghayb I definitely would have multiplied the prosperity that would come my way. As this movement takes its course into the future are there going to be those who are going to try to abort it? Definitely! Are there going to be those who are going to derail it? Definitely! Are there going to be those who are going to steal it? O course there'll be! But on the other hand, there's going to be the will of the people. As much as is said/ propagated, the bottom line of all of this is that we have people who are standing up/trying their best to stand up for who they really are. Given the scarcity of information, especially the facts/truth that comes to them from Allah/His Prophet, as much as that information has been tarnished/polluted/poisoned, still the will of the people- we don't know how long (this is going to take), only Allah knows how long this is going to take- in the end will survive all of these attempts against it. Allah's Prophet is the truth.

Allah has promised those who are committed to Him and who do As-Salihaat, i.e. who do his will on Earth that He will have you become the heirs, the inheritors of this World. (Surah Nur verse 55)

Brothers and sisters, Muslims who are on your way to Allah…

There are some details that are beginning to surface that are a course for concern. It appears that a sectarian issue that we have tried to diffuse with our understanding of Allah and His Prophet seems to be the last resort of the hegemonic powers. Some areas of the Muslim regions that have not been infected with sectarianism are now plagued by it. In the midst of all of this there is, (and truth has to be said- we hope we are beyond just turning left/right is just speaking the plain truth), the truth of the matter is that the Saudi Regime that never will want any Muslim to know what the ayah

… the Kafirs themselves form an axis of evil … (Surah Al Anfal verse 73)

means. If Muslims wake up to the practical/current meaning of the ayah they will find that the Decision-Makers/Officials/Politicians are in bed with the Mushrikeen/Kafireen. These are the types that are stirring this sectarianism in a very substantial way. In Lebanon, where people are known to get together from day-to-day in a more-or-less civilised manner where there have been many inter-marriages between Sunnis and Shi'is not to mention other intermarriages between other clans/confessions but in the past few years there has been an interjection of sectarianism that indicates to us that the Saudis are no longer the stable characters that they presented themselves to be. There were clashes in the North of Lebanon between Sunnis and Alawis. Remember, (we don't know if you recall/even heard about it; being that the media is now a tool of the powers we no longer have an objective media out there. We really don't know what you're reading because (our humble speaker) goes through two languages), the Saudis have in their presentation of Islam avoiding fitnah. One of the core concepts in their understanding of history/what happened way back in the first years after the Prophet passed away up until this very day is "you have to avoid fitnah. You have to accept a Ruler who is a Dhalim/Faasiq/Faajir because if you rise up against him you are going to be causing fitnah/instability in society that will be worse than the ruler that you're opposing." They've been carrying this on-and-on-and-on. We've mentioned many times in the past how they rationalise this- as long as they are responsible for aqamu as salaah is what they tell their listeners. When it comes to Syria, (we guess in their definition of things, as well as in other definitions), the Regime that rules there is a Dhalim Government. If you ask "is the Regime that governs over you just/unjust, fair/oppressive?" comfortably speaking, eighty-five-percent of the Syrian people will tell you "we don't have a just/fair Government." So the Saudi Government and the Syrian people's understanding of the Rulers in Damascus is that "they are oppressive/Despots." Fine- but what happened to the fitnah issue? If fitnah is not permitted, why are the Saudis supporting an uprising against the Regime in Damascus? Of all the Regimes they are interested in the Regime in Damascus and in particular and only in the Regime in Damascus. What happened to the fitnah issue here? Ah- they overcame that! They dug up some statement (that) they found- not an ayah/hadith- that they traced to ibn Taymiyah that said if the well being of two-thirds of a population can only be acquired through the killing/slaughtering of the other third, then be it, (this is a rough translation). Listen to this! What happened to the fitnah issue? They were holding on to it as if it was Allah's rope from Heaven, but when it comes to this area- Oh no! They find/dust off some statement from ibn Taymiyah and they say to the Syrian people- they never said this to the Egyptian/Tunisian/Bahraini/Yemeni people, only to the Syrian people- "if you have to kill one third of your population to get rid of this Regime. Go ahead and do it." Listen to this- brothers and sisters. Then we ask "what is the obsession with the Syrian Regime?" The short answer to that is (that) the Government in Damascus happens to come under the influence of the Government in Tehran and the Government in Tehran has an Islamic direction and when it comes to liberating Palestine that Islamic direction means to support all of those who are opposed to the occupation of Palestine and to the mal-treatment of ten-million Palestinians in the world. How convenient it is for the Zionists/Imperialists to go through the Saudi back-door to undermine an Islamic policy from Iran that is working on the liberation of Palestine in Lebanon, (because that's the only place possible now), but as future events may merit for that liberation to extend to the other areas around the occupied territories? These are words no one wants to say/mention in the khutbah from the Mimbar. Another piece of information, (that you may not be aware of, and we'll try to be as short as we can because this appears to be like a story, the Sunni Mufti of Lebanon's Office, (we're sorry we using the words Sunni/Shi'i here; we hope all of us have outgrown these types of divisive words), was sought by two disagreeing Sunni, (we're sorry we use the words again), factions/groups of people in Lebanon- one of them Palestinian and the other Lebanese- and it had to do with a piece of land in the area in Sabra and Shatilla. Sabra and Shatilla are a Southern suburb of Beirut predominantly inhabited by Palestinian refugees. Back in the early 1950's a Lebanese Sunni person granted/gave a big piece of land to the Palestinians. He told them "you are free to live here until you return to Palestine." But as the years went by and the Palestinian population began to increase that demographic overflow went into adjacent lands/properties that technically wasn't designated for them. So this caused friction between Sunni Lebanese and Sunni Palestinians so they thought "let's arbitrate this affair and take it to the Mufti." And they did. Five Palestinian individuals went to the Lebanese Mufti and wanted to reach a friendly conclusion to this issue. Then, (to make a long story short/skip some of these details), the Mufti said to them you are losers. We regret having supported you for all of these years. We are sorry that we gave you refuge in our country." These individuals could not believe what they were hearing. For those of you who don't know Dar Al Iftah in Lebanon is influenced by the Saudi Arabian Government and the Palestinian issue is putting so much pressure on the Saudi Arabian Government that the peripheries of the Saudi Arabian Government right now are beginning to leak with words/feelings like this. Then, to add insult to injury, the Mufti tells them "I want to call Nabih Barri." This is the Head of the Parliament in Lebanon who's also the Head of the Amal Political Party/militia in that country. The Palestinians looked at him (and) didn't really understand what Nabih Barri really have to do with all of this. So they sort-of asked him "isn't he an outside party to this? How is he going to help us in what we are doing?" The Mufti tells them "well you don't understand what I'm saying. I'm going to call Nabih Barri to apologise to him that we were not on his side in 1984 when his Amal Movement was gunning you down and killing you in your camps!" This is sectarianism- brothers and sisters. Sectarianism complicated by the finances and the idol called Saudi Arabia. Instead of them, especially this person who is supposed to be the number one figure in that community in Lebanon being true to Allah and His Prophet and his conscience/mind he got carried away on a tangent like this of divisiveness/bad feelings. Imagine what else they have in store. This Alawi thing that they have in Syria could extend itself into Turkey. Turkey has between 10-15million Alawis in Turkey. What are they planning? (Are) the Israelis planning to get back at Turkey because the Turkish policies have changed towards Israel and they want to settle the scores? The Israelis want to settle scores with Tehran/Istanbul via the Syrian back door?! Brothers and sisters- if we don't think of what Allah is telling us in the context of these events then we should say farewell to ourselves.

This khutbah was presented by Imam Muhammad Al Asi on the occasion of Jum'ah on 17 June 2010 on the sidewalk of Embassy Row in Washington D.C. The Imam previously led locthe daily and Jum'ah prayers inside the Masjid. His speeches were revolutionary and thought provoking and eventually irritated and threatened the Middle-East Ambassadors who control the Masjid. Finally, the Imam, his family, and other Muslims faithful to the course of Islam were forced out, into the streets. This khutbah originates from the sidewalk across the street from the Islamic Center, currently under seige.
