AHL SAUD – SELF STYLED CUSTODIANS OF THE HARAMAIN PART 2

This life is one that passes by quickly. You can recall the previous years of your life and you feel like it was only yesterday; and this will be the case of the coming years. They will feel like a fleeting moment. In the details of this life- the days/weeks/immediate moment- some people cave in. They just don't have what it takes to withstand the pressures that come their way. There is obviously an ayah that refers to mountains that stabilize the Earth/crust of the Earth/upper layer of the Earth.

… And we have made anchors in it … (Surah Al Mursalaat verse 27)

This is in reference to the mountains. But there are people/individuals who are akin to mountains. They are like rawaasee/anchors. Whatever pressure/winds/change in climate/challenges/pains of life don't budge them because they stand on principle. They are firm in their convictions. Their confidence is related to/comes from the Creator/Al Mighty/Omnipotent- Allah. We have in the world today, (as you very well know), structures that blow hot and cold on certain issues and some Muslims begin to run away/hide/are silent. They don't want to speak out. Allah says

And of the people/out of the people that we have created there is a consolidated human effort that guides to al haqq and with this haqq they are just/responsible for/apply justice. (Surah Al A'raf verse 181)

This characteristic of being above the pressures that come your way/this feature of consolidating people of principle does not belong to the average person around. You can take a glimpse at the people you know and you will find these anchors of humanity/guides in the darkness of Taghut/injustice to be rare. There's not plenty of them as you can see.

Another ayah

… that's the final domicile-  We designate it for those who do not seek status/high positions in this world and also are not involved in worldly corruption... (Surah Al Qasas verse 83)

They're not responsible for corruption; they're not corrupt individuals/they're not involved in corrupt schemes/they don't belong to a corrupt agenda/they don't execute corrupt policies/they don't have corrupt ideas.

… and the final outcome belongs to the committed Muslims. (Surah Al Qasas verse 83)

The Prophet of Allah says, (in another contributing meaning to the ayaat that were just quoted), there will remain a segment of my Ummah who will score (in an innocent sense), by their clinging to the haqq; they are not going to be harmed by those who break away from/betray them and those who are their enemies/take issue with them/are opposed to them. This history/characterisation of peoples/societies will continue until the final hour/until Allah produces His final judgement. Listen to these ayaat and these hadiths and look at the quality of people that we have. Some people are afraid/cowards/hypocrites/ schizophrenic- all of that combined, we are left with a little some that are not so. They are clean in their hearts/conscience/minds with their hand/energy/whatever Allah has given them. So when it comes to this real world that we are in, there's only going to be a few that are going to stand up/out and say the truth and let the cookie crumble as it may! Say the truth concerning who? Who's afraid to say the truth about an average person? So much is said about/against/exposing an average person or taking an average person to the cleaners; even backbiting/assaulting average people. There's no fear! Gossip is all around. You hear a lot of statements/words/ideas about average people. So who are these individuals that we are looking at by thinking of these ayaat and these ahadith. They are the people who have wealth/power. Here is where most of the people fall silent. They don't want to speak about people with wealth/power because they think in their limited minds that "there are negative consequences if we speak about people who have wealth/ power." We know, if we cement what Allah and His Prophet are saying to us in the experiences of our life, that we cannot be silent when the truth has to be expressed. This feature doesn't belong to a committed Muslim; more to the point it doesn't belong on Friday at Salaat Al Jum'ah in the Masajid from the Manabir. This time/place every week is allocated for the truth- the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Those who communicate Allah's messages and stand in awe of Him and fear no-one besides Allah (Surah Al Ahzaab verse 39)

So what do we have? We have clowns to say the truth/making decisions for us! Those who are ruling in Arabia! Some Muslims still don't know how to behave. They still cannot identify their priorities. Brothers and sisters, committed Muslims: Makkah does not belong to an individual- whether he is a King/Monarch! Al Hejaz does not belong to a ruling family- whether it is Aal Saud/Aal Rashid or and other family! Arabia doesn't belong to a nationality/ethnic group of people- whether they are Arabians/A'aajim! Can we ever get this straight? But why on out time/clock/watch/in our lifetime/presence when we go to Makkah we pay homage to a Makkah that is under occupation and no one is willing to speak about it? Where are those individuals/Islamic characters of imaan/jihad- the jihad of the truth in expressing/behaving it? Where are they who can come up and point to the clown Monarch in that country. For the record, compare him to the towering figures that we had. We want to quote for the Rulers in Arabia. After mentioning the ayaat and ahadith of Allah's Prophet, (and there's plenty of them, more that we mentioned- much more), we want to quote for them "their icons"- the ideal rulers who ruled after the Prophet. The first one said after all, I have become your decision maker/the authority who is responsible for ruling over you and I'm not the best one of you. If I am right/doing what right/on firm ground then you help me and if I am wrong/doing something fallacious/not correct in my behaviour/policies then you correct me. You obey me as long as I obey Allah in ruling over you and if I dis-obey Him I don't expect you to obey me. The most powerful/influential person that you have… (O People). He's speaking to people in Arabia in that first century of Islam. He says this person who appears to be powerful in your society, as far as I'm concerned, is weak until I take the rights from him that belong to others… Then he says the person who appears to be weak in this society is a person of power/strength, as far as I am concerned, until I take the rights that were taken away from him and give them back to him. Can you say this to the Kings/Monarchs in Arabia? Dare anyone! This is Friday/Khutbah/Salaat Al Jum'ah- you (can) go left/right/North/South/East/West in this world to these/Masajid/Islamic Centers- who are the anchor personalities of the Muslims who have the courage/knowledge/moral fortitude to stand up and express the truth to these illegitimate/illegal rulers that we have, beginning with those who govern over Makkah/Al Madinah and in addition to that Al Quds, the three places/sanctified Masajid of the world, (and) who can expose them all on an equal footing and with the words of truth.

A few weeks ago, the King, (remember we had some Muslims, even some sincere Muslims just a couple years ago, (if our memory doesn't fail us), who were saying "Oh King Abdullah is a decent man. You can expect some political mileage with him." How long is it going to take to understand that this King in Arabia is a toy and his play masters here in Washington DC control him. If ever there is a truth to the word remote control, it is between Washington and Arabia. They remotely control this ruling family. How is it that out of this 6,000 or-so Princes who belong to this ruling family (that) they slash out of the budget somewhere between $25,000 and $250,000 for themselves? Where did this come from? Do any of them stand up and say what Abu Bakr said/was just quoted? I've been given the responsibility to rule over you and I'm not the best one among you. Oh no! You can't say that to them. A few weeks ago they made it official – as it their media was over-flowing with criticism/scoops of their evil behaviour. No! Their media had a very slight tinge of criticism and they were not even comfortable with that. They said "it is against the law now in Arabia to mention in any of the mass media formats that they have- radio/press/TV- any critique of the Rulers/ruling family" in this land that belongs to all the Muslims! They say "they belong to Abu Bakr/Umar/Uthman/Ali. They are their followers. They listen to what they say." Well- listen to what they say and what (these Rulers) are saying/doing. We can quote at large others of these Khulafa' to the Prophet of Allah statements that condemn all the current present day rulers in Arabia. What do we say brothers and sisters? We are mature enough to understand what Allah/His Prophet are telling us and at the same time looking into the real world and seeing what is happening. We should not close our eyes/ears (and be) deaf/dumb/blind to the reality. What do you say about the low-lives of Arabia who drive their luxurious cars around, (this is most obvious in London, England and less obvious in other Western Capitals), cars that cost over GBP1million! These cars are glossed/polished with gold! Tell us – these types of individuals belong to Allah/His Prophet?! They take pride that they buy a licence (plate) at an auction for over GBP9million. They also brag that they transport these types of cars on their private jets from/to London, England. On one occasion they go into a jewellery shop – diamonds/gold/silver/emeralds, you name it- and in one shopping spree they buy over GBP20million jewellery! These belong in the company of the Prophet?! We speak to your mind/heart- where do these people belong? Some of them buy luxurious flats, (in the American lingo- apartments), near Hyde Park in London and they pay for it over GBP100million! At the same time they buy all of these weapons, (for the past thirty years at least), in the hundreds of billions of dollars from the military industrial complex in the West/United States- where's all this weaponry? What's it good for? The Zionists- the avowed/historical/uncontroversial enemies of the Muslims- are the ones who deserve these weapons to be used against them, but what are these weapons doing for the past thirty years on the sands of Arabia? Rusting! A generation of weaponry lapses! They buy the weapons of the '70's/'80's and those are second/third generation weapons and now, thirty/forty years later they're no good so they have to buy a new generation that is still a couple of generations behind in technology! They don't use it against the number one enemy of the Muslims in the world. And then, when they do use it, who do they use it against? This is the only time in history that we know the Saudi armed forces have gone into action – recently/last year in Yemen and this year in Bahrain. Oh- so that's what they're buying all these weapons for! A good total sum of over $1trillion, (and this is a conservative figure), of Muslim wealth! Remember, if we wanted to return to the Islamic economy, in the fiqh that Aal Saud reads but never applies, there is something called Al Rikaaz. Al Rikaaz is the concentrated natural wealth of the land that is considered non-private lands. The deserts that they have is non-private land. It's public regions/territory. From the fiqh that they read/teach, one-fifth of the concentrated wealth/Ar Rikaz, (from the word rak'kaza/concentrated, such as is the case with petroleum and other natural resources), belongs to the Muslim public! Where is it? Right now they are pumping 15million barrels of oil a day. Everyday they are selling it around 15million barrels! Do your math. Each barrel today is around $100. 15million times $100… One-fifth of that belongs to you/me! But no! They give four-fifths of it to Shayateen Al Ins wa Al Jinn (i.e.) the Zionists/Imperialists directly/indirectly, and we, the Muslims, who tow their line, (we're talking about the general body of Muslims in the world, not we, here at this Jum'ah prayer). are excluded/ recipients of the crumbs that they throw out! Where is this? How do you reconcile this to Allah's words and His Prophet's instructions.

A little know fact (is that) Israel occupies Saudi Arabian territory. There are a couple of islands in the Gulf of Aqaba that used to belong to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In Israel's wars against the neighbouring countries is occupied these islands. Well- do you here any Saudi troops there facing against the Israelis before they played the diplomatic/political game of transferring the administration of these islands to Egypt so that no one will say that these islands belong to the Saudi Government/Rulers therefore placing a psychological, or at least, propagandistic form of pressure on them that the Israelis are occupying their territories?! "Oh no- let's use all the arms/weapons that we have acquired against Muslims!" That's what they do. Muslims have become their enemies and not many people want to express this. Add on to all of this their vices all over the world. They are an embarrassment to the Muslims wherever they go. They have yachts/mansions. They go to casinos/red light districts from Thailand, Bangkok to this city here, to everywhere in-between. And after that they appear to the Muslim public and say "we are the Custodians of the two Holy places." They are liars- brothers and sisters, committed Muslims. They lie and they look around and they peoples are moving all around the place so they step into this mess to try to sponsor some of their agents in two places, Libya/Syria. This doesn't mean that in these two places there are no real people who want real self-representative Governments; there are, but we cannot look the other way and say that the Saudis are not playing the Zionist/Israeli will in these two areas. They look to their own people, sixty percent of the people in what is called Saudi Arabia is under twenty-five years old. The King in his American inspired wisdom to pre-empt any popular movement of people in that Kingdom said "we will put aside $125billion, (as it breaks to), social services to these people." There is twenty-five percent of this young generation in their teens/twenties looking for jobs and can't find jobs. Twenty-five percent are given from that allocated sum what amounts to $500 every month. How far is that going to go? OK- they bought themselves some time. We don't know how satisfied these young people are going to be with $500 a month when they go and apply and they say "I am unemployed and I need sum money." But at the end of the day where are they going with all of this? It will eventually catch up with them and they will be crushed just like the other Rulers were crushed. One of them has gone to their hospital to be treated last week, and they treated one of these Tyrants/blood thirsty from Yemen; they offered refuge to two other North African Pharoahs from Egypt/Tunisia. Have they become the leading place of the Despots in the Muslim countries?! When a person falls out of favour with his own people in Pakistan, he goes to "their" country. When people, who because they have been oppressed for so long, move against their illegitimate rulers, those rulers find a resting place in "their" Kingdom! All of this going to catch up with them and we hope our words will enhance that process and the day will come when we will celebrate an Arabia that is Islamic (and) a Makkah/Al Madinah that are free and liberated.

Brothers and sisters, committed Muslims…

The Prophet of Allah says none of you are going to commit to Allah in the true sense of the world until I, (meaning Allah's Prophet), becomes more beloved to you than your children/parents/all other people. Allah's Prophet, dear to Allah as he is, has gone through many trials/tribulations in life. If you think you've had it bad or there is pressure in your personal life, (if that's the way you think), take a moment with us, (and we literally have only minutes just to make a very fast scan through the lifetime of Allah's Prophet). If you are a person who has lost a parent- father/mother- and you feel the sorrow that that brings to your heart, then remember that Allah's Prophet was born an orphan- he had no father; and he lost his mother when he was only six years old. If you feel that there is a debt that burdens you, remember that when Allah's Prophet died, he had his shield/one of the pieces of his armour rent to a Yahudi because he couldn't find the money that was needed. If you feel, at one time, that you don't have enough food to provide for your family, take notice that at one time for a full month the Prophet of Allah could not find enough food for his own family. If you feel that one of your daughters got divorced and that weighs heavily on your lifetime/thoughts, then remind yourself that two of Allah's Prophet's daughters got divorced who were married to their cousins- the sons of Abi Lahab. As the details of history unfolded, they had to divorce their Mushrik husbands. If you feel that you were forced out of your homelands, then remember that the Prophet of Allah was forced out of his homeland. He had to move under the threats of assassination that came his way. He had to relocate from Makkah to Al Madinah. If you feel that people don't understand you/are abandoning you, remember the time that people said they didn't understand Allah's Prophet and had him abandoned. Do you feel that someone repossessed some of what belongs to you that didn't belong to them? Well, that's what happened to Allah's Prophet when he had to leave from Makkah to Al Madinah. He had some possessions/property in Makkah. He had to leave that and the Mushriks took control/possession of it. Do you feel that someone is threatening your life? Remember that Allah's Prophet's life was threatened and they wanted to kill him.  Do you feel that you have been harmed by one of your neighbours? Remember when the Yahudi neighbour of Allah's Prophet in Al Madinah used to put harmful things in his way and next to his home at one time and then when this same Yahudi fell sick the Prophet of Allah visited him. Do you feel that you've been turned down/abandoned by someone who is close to you? Then remember that the uncle of Allah's Prophet Abu Lahab, himself, abandoned Allah's Prophet. Do you feel at one time that someone has humiliated you? Then remember the time when Allah's Prophet was at the Ka'bah and the Mushriks came and they spilled the guts of a sacrificed animal on him when he was n his sajdah. If you feel that you are hungry, then remember the Prophet of Allah and those who were with him who spent three years in hunger/deprivation in one of the vicinities outside Makkah. Do you feel worried? Think about how Allah's Prophet carried this condition of being worried about Allah's mission/risalah the whole of his life. Due you feel someone is accusing you of being untruthful? Well, that's exactly what the society in Arabia/Makkah accused the Prophet of. Have you felt at one time that the most dearest people to you have passed away? The Prophet of Allah had all his family – his wife/sons/daughters except for Fatimah (radi Allahu anha/wa salaamullah alayha) who passed away six months after him- pass away in his lifetime. If you experienced that you've been cut/hurt/bruised, then remember Allah's Prophet when he was cut/bruised/hurt on the day of Uhud. Did someone ever accuse you of being light-minded/lunatic/crazy? These were descriptions that went the way of Allah's Prophet by the people around him. Do you feel that your womanhood – wife/sister/daughter- has been accused of infidelity/abandoning her trust in her relationship with her husband? That was done to Allah's Prophet concerning his wife Aa'ishah (radi Allahu anha). There are many other details in his life, but when we think about ourselves, let us think about ourselves in the presence of the Prophet upon who we invoke the blessings/grace/benedictions/peace of Allah.

This khutbah was presented by Imam Muhammad Al Asi on the occasion of Jum'ah on 10 June 2010 on the sidewalk of Embassy Row in Washington D.C. The Imam previously led locthe daily and Jum'ah prayers inside the Masjid. His speeches were revolutionary and thought provoking and eventually irritated and threatened the Middle-East Ambassadors who control the Masjid. Finally, the Imam, his family, and other Muslims faithful to the course of Islam were forced out, into the streets. This khutbah originates from the sidewalk across the street from the Islamic Center, currently under seige.
