Terrorists of outlawed Wahabi Organization on Monday night martyred Shia Doctor Haider Abbas at Metrovil III in Karachi.
According to the Shiite News Correspondent, Police officials were suspecting his killing as a result of sectarian violence.
Police officials said that two armed men on a motorcycle targeted and shot him thrice when he on his Toyota Corolla car bearing registration number C-2933, was on the way to AKM specialist hospital in Mominabad to attend the patients. The deceased died on the spot as he sustained bullets in his face and head. His body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. Police officials said that the incident took place near Metrolines hospital located at Metrovil SITE, within the limits of SITE 'A' Section police station soon after he left the hospital to make his presence in another AKM specialist hospital. DSP Rao Iqbal said that apparently, it seems an incident of sectarian killing and investigation is underway. No case was registered till the filing of this report. The deceased was a resident of Saddat Colony Block-20, Federal 'B' Area and was the father of two daughters.

شہید ڈاکٹر حیدر عباس سر اور چہرے پر تینوں گولیاں لگنے کے سبب موقع پر ہی شہید ہوگئے جبکہ ان کی لاش کو عباسی شہید اسپتال پوسٹ مارٹم
کیلئے لے جا یا گیا ۔
واضح رہے کہ شہید ڈاکٹرحیدر عباس کراچی کے علاقے سادات کالونی انچولی سوسائٹی کے رہائشی تھے ،شہید نے اپنے سوگواروں میں ایک بیوہ اور دو بچیوں کو چھوڑا ہے ،شہید کی عمر ترپن برس تھی۔
ڈی ایس پی راؤ اقبال کا کہنا ہے کہ واقع فرقہ وارانہ دہشتگردی کا نتیجہ ہے جبکہ پولیس کے مطابق دہشتگردی کا یہ واقعہ میٹرو لائن اسپتال واقع میٹروول سائٹ ایریا کے نزدیک ہوا۔
واضح رہے کہ سانحہ عاشور کراچی اور سانحہ اربعین امام حسین علیہ السلام کے موقع پر ہونے والے بم دھماکوں میں 70سے زائد افرادکی شہادت کے بعد سے اب تک کراچی میں درجنوں دہشت گردی کے واقعات ہو چکے ہیں جن کے نتیجہ میں درجنوں شیعہ شہید ہو چکے ہیں جبکہ حکومت تاحال کالعدم دہشت گرد جماعت سپاہ صحابہ کے دہشت گردوں کو لگام دینے میں ناکام رہی ہے ،بلکہ بعض اوقات حکومتی عناصر کی جانب سے کالعدم دہشت گرد جماعتوں کے رہنماؤں سے ملاقاتوں کا سلسلہ بھی منظر عام پر آتا رہاہے جو اس بات کا ثبوت ہے کہ حکومنت کالعدم دہشت گرد جماعتوں کے خلاف کوئی خاطر خواہ
کاروائی نہیں کر رہی ۔
