Dear brothers/sisters in faith,
Most of us recite namaze Shab, and it is also highly recommended in both Haddith and Holy Quran. But i would like to point out one most important thing:
1) It is reported that if your namaz are not accepted than no aamal will be accepted.
2) We have our wajib namaz qaza and we recite mustahab prayers
3) I know it is permitted but, understand you wont be questioned about your mustahab namaz but will definately be questioned about wajib namaz.
4) In the end it is observed that our qaza namaz remain qaza forever and the deceased is left at the mercy of relatives or friends to cover up for the same.
5)Solution: Namaz e Shab consists of 8 rakats
Zohr namaz 4 rakats
Asr namz 4 rakats so, instaed of Namaz e shab recite these two qaza namaz, end result you get sawaab of namaze shab + your qaza namaz is also offered.
6) Also what can be done is that everyday one can make it a point to recite one qaza namaz along with routine prayers. ie. 5 times prayer+ 1 time qaza(zuhr-one day, asr the next day and so on) by the end of 5th day 1 day qaza namaz is offered. there are 365 days in a year meaning 73 days of qaza namaaz offered.
7)Also when a person passes away we often neglect to offer his qaza namaaz e ayat.
8) on an average there are approx 2 events in a year by which this namaz becomes wajib.
9) Assuming the average life span of 60 for a male he has 45 yaers where namaaz has become wajib, so 45*2(2 times a year approx) = 90 rakats of qaza namaaz
Lastly to conclude i would appreciate if people have any comments, and suggestions. May Allah (S.W.T) give us the Taufeeq to be on Sirat al Mustaqeem and Hasten the zuhoor of HIS LAST Hujjat(A.T.F.
