Re: [shia_strength] Issue of the week: Disputes among relatives and family members. qate Rahmi

salamun alaikum,

the following are the reasons for this sad situation:
1. Hasad
2. Lack of knowledge that Qatae Rehmi is a major sin. (gunahe kabira).
3. Lack of trust
4. Pride

The issue is that here in India we live in a society dominated by non Muslims. We acquire their bad habits and culture and forget the Sunnah of the prophet SAW.  We lack moral character.

This is because of lack of knowledge, both secular knowledge and religious knowledge. Our community is mostly not much deep into education. We also dont get proper religious education. We believe that majlis and matam is enough sawab for us. Even in Madrasas they dont give proper education. They stick to old style syllabus and dont combine modern and religious education like some madrasas have done in Iran.

We dont focus on moral issues in our majalis. Our zakireen just try to pick up emotional points and win over the majlis for wah wah. If they talk about moral issues, their majalis will be 'thandi'!!....so no one talks abt these things.

Another problem is with the educated and wealthy ppl. They become proud of their status and dont care abt their relatives. If some one goes out from a small village of UP and becomes successful in Bombay or Delhi, he forgets abt his poor relatives back home. Suppose all the people of villages who are educated and settled in big cities take responsibility of educating at least 1 child of their village family and arrange good schooling for them, the social scene can change in one generation.

Subject: [shia_strength] Issue of the week: Disputes among relatives and family members.

In usool e kafi our respected Imam Imam Jafar Sadegh (A. S.) said   Respect your elders and strengthen relationships to your own relatives.

and at other place said "Paying visits to one's own relatives makes the houses habitable and increases the life of humanity even if its agents could not be competent. Amali e toosi

we all know Sila-e-Rahmi (maintaining blood relation by good and benevolent treatment) is wajib Qata-e-Rami (cutting off, severance of blood relations by bad or oppressive treatment) is Haram.

I hope member will take this issue seriously and discuss here to give the solution as this Haram is common. I repeat that i hope members will take this issue more seriously than zanjeer matam .
