On Sunday the 5th April, 2009, the suicide blast occurred at the main gate of Imambargah (Mosque) Mohala Sarpak, Chakwal, where a large number of Azadar (devotees gathered) to listing the annual Majlis Aza of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). 26 people, including four children, were killed and 41 others injured in this suicide blast. A suicide bomber blew himself up aged 17 years old was attempting to enter the main gate of Imambargah when he checked by a young security boy namely Zil Hassnain and a moment he caught by Bashir Hussain Matawali of Imambargah. Twenty-six people died on the spot, while two others died in hospitals. When the blast occurred tearing away the bodies of the faithful into pieces. Blood stained bodies were found strewn all across the place. The injured and the bodies were shifted to Chakwal District Headquarter Hospital and in medical centres in Rawalpindi. Most of the injured are said to be in critical condition. People have rushed to hospitals to find out the welfare of their injured relatives. Yesterday Ch. Mazher Hussain Advocate has expired in Benazir Hospital, Rawalpindi who has also serious injured and admitted in this Hospital. Pakistan has a long history of sectarian attacks mostly against Shia Muslims by Sunni extremist groups, which have joined hands with Taliban and Al Qaeda militants..
I mentioned here that I belong to a village of Distt. Chakwal. I went to Distt. Headquarter Hospital, Chakwal on the same day at 4.30 pm. I meet some injured person who is admitted in the Hospital and also participate in Namaz –e- Janaza on 6th April, 2009.
