Subject: Najaf Campaign - Orphans Project
Salaamun Alaykum
During our recent visit to Iraq, we had the opportunity of visiting Dar al-Zahra in Najaf - a school of Shia' orphans. This school is run under the auspices of Ayatullah Sheikh Bashir Najafi and financially supported by Najaf campaign.
The school has 90 orphans (50 boys & 40 girls). There are more than 1000 orphans who are being currently supported financially in Iraq. To support one orphan a month costs only US $30. The Holy Prophet (saww) has said: 'Indeed there is a house in Paradise known as Dar al-Farah (House of Happiness). No one shall enter it except one who catered for an orphan'.
