Shia Strength: RE: [MahdiUniteMuslims] Mutta Marriage LET US DISCUSS

Dear All,

One must understand that both the holy Qur'an as well as the Traditions of the holy Ahlul-Bayt encourage faithful Muslims who are fit and able to sustain a responsible life in society to seek suitable male-female relationships, contract a permanent marriage and try to raise a good God-fearing family who would contribute to the good of the society.

The only option for Mutah is to be able to avoid sin.

If a young man and a woman come to know each other and like each other they must seek permanent marriage.

A Mutah contract is sought only in some specific conditions. Here are some examples. A divorcee or a widowed woman who cannot find proper male-relationships for a permanent marriage is fully justified in seeking temporary marriage.

A young man who has sex drive and falls in the company of women and he fears he will fall in sin, may seek a temporary relationship to avoid that sinful siutation. Even in those cases, as the writer Syed RAzvi has pointed out, the man must be prepared to take care of any children that are born out of that relationship.

Let us consider a hypothetical case. A young man comes to study to one of the western countries from India,Pakistan, Iran or some other such place. He falls in a relationship with a young local woman. He decides to contract a Mutah marraige.After three or four years he completes his education and goes back to his home country. If he has any children out of that relationship, what is going to happen to those children? Will the father be able to provide for the growing children living in a country thousands of miles away?

Man is not a mere biological animal. Man has wisdom and common sense. One has to weigh every step in one's life before taking any action.

Any person's isolated action based on a hasty and emotional decision can create problems which go forward into future generations an d may affect a number of apparently unconencted people.

It is good that this issue is being discussed here in the forum penly.

All writers who feel strongly about this issue must contribute to thisi discussion so that readers may decide their own best options and act accordingly.

This is very important and thought provoking email for every shia Muslim and be taken seriously to develop ways and means as to how Mutta ((muttah/Temporary Marriage), can we put into practice. I am sure once this marriage is practices many shia would eventually to convert mutta marriage into permanent marriage as most of our women particularly who are widow or divorcee would all time be compromising. The problem is how to start with. May be in the first instance we should start to encourage all shia widows and divorcees to go for this and pay great respect to those who practice this marriage.

There is acute shortage of males for females for short time Nikkah or permenant marraige.

Think about the ratio of killings in our community which is making this situation even worst of all time.

I would request our all religios leaders to either educate women and their parents to start giving their daughters training to become 2nd wife or 3rd wife if a man is ready for that and can afford within his financial boundries.

Muttah is another factor, where we need to focus. We do have problems in our families just becuase of absence of Muttah, people think (either men or women) that its easy to develop ilicit relationship but not the way our religion has permitted for.

We also need our population to wait for our Imam's zahoor and fight till that exact time.

Look at Lebnon and other Shia populated countries.

Its our duty to stress up on that before the time is gone and we fall in bad practices like no Nikkah but having relation with oppsoite sex.

Please do not consider it as lust, I know many Saiyyed families have daughters at home and they are getting older day by day but still waiting for single man, those girls/women are good looking, educated and best for all type of house affairs but there is no so called GOOD Rishta for them.
