Israeli PM slams NAM participants
Jerusalem: Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday slammed the NAM Summit participants for being silent spectators to the "anti-Semitic rants" of Iran during the recent meeting of the 120-member grouping in Tehran.

"No one stood up, no one left the hall," Netanyahu said, criticising the inaction on the part of the Summit participants.

Netanyahu's comments come in the wake of a recent International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report saying that Iran had doubled its uranium enrichment capacity at the underground Fordo facility.

The report showed that at the Fordo facility Iran now has around 2,000 uranium-enrichment centrifuges installed, compared with around 1,000 in May.

This lack of protest was even worse in light of the recent report that "confirms what I have been saying for a long time, the international sanctions are making things difficult for the Iranian economy, but are not delaying at all the Iranian nuclear programme," the Israeli Premier stressed.

"The Iranians are using the talks with world powers to buy time to advance their nuclear programme," Netanyahu said.

The Israeli leader slammed participants for being silent spectators to the "anti-Semitic rants" of the Iranian leadership.

Netanyahu had earlier criticised the wide international participation at the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran as a "stain on humanity" following Iran's denial of Israel's right to exist.

"Over 120 countries are in Tehran, saluting a regime that not only denies the Holocaust but pledges to annihilate the Jewish state, brutalises its own people, colludes in the murder of thousands of innocent Syrians and leads millions in chanting 'Death to America, death to Israel'," he had said.

US and its allies, including Israel, accuse Iran of running a clandestine nuclear weapons programme, a charge vehemently denied by the Tehran, which claims that its atomic programme is for peaceful purpose.

Iran's nuclear programme has become a big thorn in its relations with the West. Israel has even threatened to carry out a direct strike on Iranian nuclear assets.

Rehabar Ayatullah Khamenie addressed 120 countries: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, 29 heads of state, 7 seven heads of government, 9 nine vice-presidents, several special envoys, and so many foreign ministers from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe to the two-day summit.
