¤ Ali Valiyollah Group ¤ Secret to Success [1 Attachment]

مرد جوانی از سقراط پرسید راز موفّقیت چیست. سقراط به او گفت، "فردا به کنار نهر آب بیا تا راز موفّقیت را به تو بگویم." صبح فردا مرد جوان مشتاقانه به کنار رود رفت.

سقراط از او خواست که به سوی رودخانه او را همراهی کند. جوان با او به راه افتاد. به لبهء رود رسیدند و به آب زدند و آنقدر پیش رفتند تا آب به زیر چانهء آنها رسید.

ناگهان سقراط مرد جوان را گرفت و زیر آب فرو برد. جوان نومیدانه تلاش کرد خود را رها کند، امّا سقراط آنقدر قوی بود که او را نگه دارد. مرد جوان آنقدر زیر آب ماند که رنگش به کبودی گرایید و بالاخره توانست خود را خلاصی بخشد.

همین که به روی آب آمد، اوّل کاری که کرد آن بود که نفسی بس عمیق کشید و هوا را به اعماق ریه فرو فرستاد. سقراط از او پرسید، "زیر آب که بودی، چه چیز را بیش از همه مشتاق بودی؟" گفت، "هوا."

سقراط گفت، "هر زمان که به همین میزان که اشتیاق هوا را داشتی موفّقیت را مشتاق بودی، تلاش خواهی کرد که آن را به دست بیاوری؛ راز دیگر ندارد."

Secret of Success

A young man asked Socrates the secret of Success...

Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning. They met.

Socrates asked the young man to walk with him towards the river.

When the water got up to their neck, Socrates took the young man

by surprise and ducked him into the water. The man struggled to get

out but Socrates was strong and kept him there until he started turning blue.

The young man struggled hard and finally managed to get out and the

first thing he did was to gasp and take deep breath. Socrates asked

'What you wanted the most when you were there?' The man replied 'Air'.

Socrates said 'that's the most secret to success. When you want success

as badly as you wanted air, you will get it. There is no other secret'.
