FEAR OF ALLAH OR FEAR OF 9/11 PART 6

We are still living in a tense and a divisive clash between those who want to defame as the first step in a process to kill the Islamic will- this is the whole issue. If we surrender our will power to be whom Allah wants us to be, the issue is over; but simply because we demonstrate that we also have a will (and) we are independent committed Muslims then we begin to have these types of developments that have been going on for the last week to ten days or so. In these past ten days or so we, the Muslims, have heard apologies from the Coptic Christian community in Egypt because this person around whom the news events are swirling is said to be a Coptic Egyptian. So his own community came out and expressed their regrets and their apologies for this mis-understanding and they have no input into this act of sacrilege and definition. The Pope of the Vatican also came out and expressed himself on this issue in a similar fashion. There are other segments who are living among the Muslims in different parts of Asia and Africa who also came out and absolved themselves from this attack against the personality and the history of the Prophet and against, by extension, the followers of the Prophet. But it appears that there's one religious community that did not come out and express its dismay or its disapproval of this event targeting the committed Muslims or the Muslims in general. That community is the community of Yahud. We haven't heard a word from them on this issue. Has anyone heard a word from them on this issue. Yours in faith and commitment hear hasn't heard any word from that community about this issue. To the contrary, there are spokespersons and politicians and learned individuals from that community who seem to be contributing to the exacerbation of this problem. They want this problem to grow into a full fledged conflict between Muslims on one side and what is called the Judeo-Christians on the other side. You may recall many moons ago we dedicated a very long and extensive look at this troubling bunch of people in our history to the extent that some people commented after these long khutbahs of scores of jum'ahs saying "brother Muhammad is concentrating too much on Yahud." We remind these types and their likes that it's not our choice to concentrate on Yahud. It is Allah who has concentrated on them. If you open the Qur'an and you read your faultless book, you realise that they occupy a large portion of the pages of this book so don't say a certain khateeb or a certain Imam is giving undue attention to these types because these are the types who are behind these events. They may be able to trick certain people out there but they're not going to be able to trick us. They're not going to be able to fool us as long as this Qur'an is in our intellectual possession. They may fool some Muslims who are automatons who just go to the Qur'an and read it without understanding what's in it. We thank Allah that the Muslims are coming of age. They are no longer zombies or robots when they read what Allah has to say. In one ayah, (there are a few ayaat along these lines in Surah Al Baqarah and in Surah Al Maa'idah), you may refer to these cluster of ayaat exposing and disclosing what Bani Isra'eel is doing and has been doing and is trying to perfect its evil act. There are several ayaat in the Qur'an that says about these people

… they dislodge words from their meaningful location and they confine to oblivion a sizeable proportion of the consciousness that has come to them from Allah… (Surah Al Maa'idah verse 13)

Another informative ayah

Woe to those who write scripture with their own hands saying or claiming that it is from Allah... (Surah Al Baqarah verse 79)

Allah is speaking to us about this. Allah's words are not obsolete. This is a fact of life and Allah's shining words trail and they trace this fact of life. We're talking about people here who forge scripture and then they attribute it to Allah. Why do they do something like that?

… so (that) in exchange for what they are doing they can gain some profit… (Surah Al Baqarah verse 79)

They want to make money out of God and out of scripture. If you don't remember anything in this khutbah please try to remember if not the wording of the ayah, (that may be too much for some of us), but remember the meaning of the ayah. Why are we saying this now in this context? We are saying this for a simple reason. These people now who are behind this campaign and this policy and this aggression against we, the Muslims anywhere we may be. There are some news items today that tell us certain Masajid in Europe have been defaced. Whoever they were, in the absence of the Muslims and in the darkness of the night came to the walls of these Masajid and wrote or drew graffiti (or) whatever it was on them. We're not talking about one or two Masajid, we're talking about tens of Masajid throughout Europe. The protest of innocent Muslims just going into the public eye and expressing their heartfelt feelings towards this rank blasphemy (that is) organised and disseminated as it has been going on for the past ten days. In Pakistan, just today, twenty people were killed. What's their guilt? What's their crime? You kill people because they walk in the street and they say "we have been offended." One thing going for the Muslims, even though we are complicated with the ignorance amongst us, is our love for Allah's Prophet. They can bomb us, they can occupy our lands (and) they can shred our physical bodies like they've been doing but when it comes to the status and the reputation of Allah's Prophet we are all one. We will not accept that. They cannot understand that. They say "why can't Muslims accept freedom of expression?" What do they mean by freedom of expression? This is not freedom of expression, this is freedom to insult. Mind you, pay attention brothers and sisters- in this context when the people who forge scripture today are forging the news and information- when they lie about Allah of course they're going to lie about Allah's Prophets (and) they're going to lie about us! What do you expect from such people?! Notice how they have not dealt with this issue in the mature and liberal character that they project. Oh they're so liberal and they're so open-minded- why can't they have Muslims come to the camera on these instruments of the media such as TV and radio and newspaper and have this issue debated? Why? What's wrong? What happened to debate? What happened to exchange of ideas? We know this is not a matter of freedom of expression or freedom of speech. We don't have that freedom of expression and freedom of speech. We are thirty years proof that there's no freedom of expression. Why? If there is freedom of religion (and) if there is freedom of assembly why aren't we inside the Masjid? We are here in Washington DC- the capital of all of this hearsay and we are not allowed into the Masjid?! Where's the freedom? You tell us! So they come and now they are busy churning out this stream of lies against us (and) presenting us to the public as if we are the people who want kill and want to go to war and all of these stuff.

Dear brothers and sisters- we have gone into a little history for you and for everyone else who is listening now or in the future. We're going to compare here from the sources (i.e.) from the Qur'an and from the Bible. We're going to bring you information from the lifetime of Allah's Prophet in which there were clashes and what may be loosely called wars and juxtapose that with what we have in the history of the Bible from the Bible and let's see after this who are those who are blood-thirsty and who are violent and aggressive and a terrorist types. Let's see from the sources. In our Islamic history, all of you know, we have Ghazwat Badr that took place in the second year of the Hijra. How many victims were the results of Ghazwat Badr? Seventy Mushriks and fourteen Muslim shaheeds. (In) Ghazwat As Suhaiq which was in the same year, the second year of the Hijra (there were) zero Mushrik causalities and two Muslim shaheeds. (In) what is called the Bath of Ka'ab ibn Al Ashraf which was in the third year of the Hijra there was one Mushrik killed and zero shaheeds killed among the Muslims. In Ghazwat Uhud which claimed, in comparison to all other Islamic military campaigns, the most amount of shuhada' (i.e. most of the shuhada' who fell, fell at Uhud. It was in the third year of the Hijra (and) there are twenty-two Mushriks that were killed and seventy Muslims who became shaheed. (In) Ghazwat Hamra Al Asad also in the third year of the Hijra one Mushrik killed (and) zero Muslim shaheed. (In) Ba'th Ar Raji'a which was in the third year of the Hijra, zero Mushriks killed (and) seven Muslims became shaheed. (In) Bi'r Mauna also in the third year of the Hijra, zero Mushriks killed (and) twenty seven Muslim shaheeds. In Ghazwat Al Khandaq in the fifth year of the Hijra, three Mushiks killed (and) six Muslims became shaheed. In Ghazwat Bani Qurayda in the fifth year if the Hijra there was no casualties in the military stand off between the committed Muslims in Al Madinah and Bani Qurayda- none in the military stand off but as a consequence of the treason of Bani Quraida six hundred Yahud were put to the death because of treason. (In) Ba'th Abdullahi ibn Ateeq in the fifth year of the Hijra, one Mushrik killed zero Muslim shaheed. In Ghazwat Dhi Qarad in the fifth year of the Hijra, one Mushrik killed two Muslim shaheeds. (In) Ghazwat Bani Mustaliq in the sixth year of the Hijra, zero Mushriks killed one Muslim shaheed. In Ghazwat Khaybar in the seventh year of the Hijra, two Mushriks killed twenty Muslims shaheed. In Ghazwat Wadi Al Qura in the seventh year of the Hijra, zero Mushriks killed one Muslim shaheed. (In) Ghazwat Al Mu'tah in the eighth year of the Hijra, zero Mushriks killed eleven Muslim shaheeds. In the liberation of Makkah, Fath Al Makkah, in the eighth year of the Hijra, seventeen of the Mushriks killed and three Muslims shaheed. In Ghazwat Hunayn in the eighth year of the Hijra, eighty four Mushriks killed four Muslim shaheeds. In Ghazwat At Ta'if also in the eighth year of the Hijra, zero Mushriks killed thirteen Muslim shaheeds. That brings us to a grand total of… This is where today these loud mouths (and) these media mouth-pieces who say "Muslims are terrorists, Muslims want war," this is what they are saying with all of the fancy language that they use. We cut through all of that and tell you what they are saying and this is the history that they are referring to and this is the grand total. Two-hundred-and-three Mushriks killed and one-hundred-and-eighty-three Muslims shaheed. Combining these together gives us three-hundred-and-eighty-six. Fighting has been assigned to you knowing that you dislike it… (Surah Al Baqarah verse 216)

These Shayateen who speak all around us want everyone to believe "Fighting has been assigned to Muslims and they love it!" There's a difference in our psychologies. OK- now let's look at them. This was us. This was history (and) these are facts. You can go to any reference you want (and) you might find a difference of a handful puts or minus but this is it- three-hundred-and-eighty-six and out of that we're supposed to be the war mongers that they present us to be.

Let's go to them in the limited time that we have. There's a long list here. The number of those who were killed who were not Jewish if you go to the Bible, the book of Joshua eight, verse twenty-five the number of casualties if you go to Aye, one of the ethnic or tribal groups, was twelve-thousand. In the book of Judges, one (verse) fourteen, ten-thousand of the Canaanites and the Pharsees. In Judges eight (verse) ten, ten-thousand from Milab were killed. In Judges eight (verse) ten, one-hundred-and-twenty-thousand from Madian were killed. In Judges nine (verse) forty-nine, one-thousand from Shateem were killed. In Judges fourteen (verse) nineteen, thirty-nine from Ashkelon were killed. In Judges fifteen (verse) seventeen, one-thousand from Filisteens or the Palestinians were killed. In the book of Samuel one, fourteen (verse) fourteen, twenty Palestinians were killed. In Samuel two, eighteen (verse) twenty-seven, two-hundred Palestinians were killed. In Samuel two, eight (verse) five, twenty-two-thousand from Aram were killed. In Samuel two, eighteen (verse) two, eighteen-thousand from Aram were killed. In Samuel two, ten (verse) eighteen, forty-thousand from Aram were killed. In Kings one, twenty (verse) twenty-nine, one-hundred thousand from Aram were killed. In Kings one, twenty-two (verse) twenty-nine, one-hundred-thousand from Aram were killed. In Kings two, fourteen (verse) seventeen, ten-thousand from Adome were killed.

In Kings two, nineteen (verse) thirty-five, one-hundred-and-thirty-five-thousand from Assyria were killed. There's a number of one-million of what's called the Kushites. In Ester, nine (verse) five, nine-hundred Persians were killed. In Ester, nine (verse) sixteen, seventy-five-thousand Persians were killed. In Ester, nine (verse) fifteen, three-hundred Persians were killed. These were the non-Yahudis who were killed. Now we take a look at the Yahudis themselves in their own book and let's figure out how many of them were killed. In Judges, twelve (verse) six, forty-two-thousand from Afra'eem were killed. In Judges, twenty (verse) twenty-one, twenty-two-thousand from Israel were killed. In Judges, twenty (verse) twenty-five, twenty-five-thousand from Israel were killed. In Judges, twenty (verse) thirty-two, twenty-five-thousand from Benjamin were killed. In Judges, twenty (verse) thirty-nine, twenty from Israel were killed. In Judges, twenty (verse) forty-two, eighteen-thousand from Benjamin were killed. In Judges, twenty (verse) forty-five, two-thousand from Benjamin were killed. In Samuel one, four (verse) two, four-thousand from Israel were killed. We know this is becoming monotonous but the truth has to be expressed particularly in the frame-time of accusations that we are enduring now and here. There's about seven or eight of these left. In Samuel One, one (verse) ten, forty-thousand Yahudis from Israel were killed. In Samuel One, six (verse) nineteen, fifty-thousand-and-seventy Yahudis from Beit Shamon were killed. In Samuel One, twenty-two (verse) nineteen, eighty-five from the Priests or, (what they call), the Kahans were killed. In Samuel One, two (verse) thirty, twenty, (some books call them slaves of David and others may have been called the indentured servants of David- whatever choice of words they want), were killed. In Samuel One, two (verse) thirty, three-hundred-and-sixty from the men of from Abneer were killed. In Samuel Two, eighteen (verse) seven, twenty-thousand from Israel were killed. In Samuel Two, ten (verse) thirteen, forty-two from the brothers of Akhizyah were killed. In Samuel Two, fifteen (verse) twenty-five, fifty from the Gilads were killed. In the book of The Second Day Two, twenty-eight (verse) six, one-hundred-and-twenty-thousand from Judah were killed. In Judges, nine (verse) five, seventy from the brothers of Abi Malik were killed. The total number of Yahudis was three-hundred-and-fifty-two-thousand-eight-hundred-and-twenty-seven were killed. All of them combined- Yahudis and non-Yahudis from the Bible are one-million-nine-hundred-and-eighty-eight-thousand-four hundred-and-eighty-seven. Compare that to the Muslims. Compare those numbers to ours. For those of you who want a quick comparison of the total victims in Islamic history from wars and clashes in Arabia during the time of Allah's Prophet, in those last ten years of the hijra- the total number of casualties, Muslims and non-Muslims was three-hundred-and-eighty-six; compare that to the numbers of the Bible, to the total casualties of one-million-nine-hundred-and-eighty-eight-thousand-four-hundred and-seventy-seven. If you're listening to today's news and commentators and pundits and analysts and scholars and politicians, you'd think this is upside down! You'd think these numbers, almost two million, come from Islamic history and the number, almost four-hundred causalities come from Christian-Judeo or from Jewish history because this is only in Jewish history. We haven't even touched upon what is called Christian history. At the end they want to tell us we are the terrorists.

Dear brothers and sisters, committed Muslims…

What is unfolding around us today, if all the information was known (and) if these people who are behind the scenes doing these types of things would just come out with their classified and confidential information we would realise and ascertain and affirm the validity that we have in front of us in this guiding book. It is not out of nothing that these things are happening. There's a lot of experience here. People who are doing what is being done today have the experience of history. They can kill one of their own- this Ambassador who was killed in Libya could have been them who killed him or they could have instigated others who would fall for some type of religious argument and they would kill someone like that. The US had an Ambassador who was killed in Pakistan. There was a plane and the President of Pakistan at the time was on the plane and other officials and the plane crashed and the President died along with the US Ambassador at the time. Even though it's been at least twenty years or so since that happened, there's no information as to who was responsible for something like that. It's easy for them to kill some of their own. (Do) you think we the Muslims had any hand in 9/11? Wherever Muslims think that Islamic organisations or Islamic personnel or Islamic associations had a hand in what happened on 9/11 has no Qur'anic immunity in him or her. They have fallen victims and prey to the propaganda and to the engineering of information that we are now subjected to. It's about time that we take to mind and to heart what Allah is telling us. We can't go on like this, (i.e.) reading what Allah is saying and not being able to place those meanings in our lives in today's world! How long is this going to continue? For sure there is a love for Allah's Prophet and it expresses itself, but there also has to be an understanding for Allah's Prophet that expresses itself.

This khutbah was presented by Imam Muhammad Asi on 21 September 2012 on the sidewalk of Embassy Row in Washington D.C. The Imam previously led the daily and Jum'ah prayers inside the Masjid. His speeches were revolutionary and thought provoking, and irritated and threatened the Middle-East Ambassadors who control the Masjid. Finally, the Imam, his family, and other Muslims faithful to the course of Islam were forced out, into the streets. This khutbah originates from the sidewalk across the street from the Islamic Center, currently under seige.
