'Modern arms delivered to Iran's forces'

Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi says advanced arms, including new anti-armor arms, have been delivered to Iranian Armed Forces.
"These weapons identify the weak points of the enemy's tanks and target them from above," Fars news agency quoted Vahidi as saying on Wednesday.
The general also said Iran is mass-producing laser-guided anti-chopper missiles, adding that these missiles are capable of "tracking and destroying targets with high-precision."
"A number of air-defense missiles are being produced and will be delivered to the Armed Forces in the near future," he went on to say.
In recent years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in the production of important military equipment and systems.
Earlier in April, Iran successfully test-fired the country's latest anti-aircraft missile system, named Sayyad-2 (Hunter-2).
Shahin (Hawk) and Shalamcheh missiles produced by the Defense Ministry were also successfully tested and delivered to different army units in April.
In January, Iran successfully test-fired mid-range, surface-to-air Hawk missile and the Iranian Defense Ministry delivered new cruise missile systems to the Navy.
The systems, designed and manufactured by Iranian experts, are capable of spotting and destroying different targets at sea.
