[shia_strength] Magic is a greater sin

Magic is a greater sin

baba Magic is unconditionally & absolutely haram/prohibited .A gunahane Kabira (greater sin) leading to Hell fire. A person who indulges in magic & does not repent is punishable by Death in an Islamic society, as it is equivalent to shirk & severly criticised in many ahadithWe tend to put all the blame for any misfortune/problem on other people & most convieniently on magic. Instead of looking at our sins & other reasons we immediately accept any suggestion(from anybody at all), that someone has done something to us!. Visiting Pir,Baba,Mulla,Fakir,Sufi:for Cure of Magic is very comman now Days and its also a good business now a days.In 99% of cases we only incorrectly assume that magic has affected us & it may be true in a very rare case.

All the Islamic jurists have declared the learning and practicing of magic to be unlawful and prohibited. Wasaail al-Shia'h, ch. 25 from the chapters of Maa Yuktasabu bihi, tr. 7

Definitions Of Certain Haraam Actions:

1. Magic – Indulging in magic, teaching and learning magic, earning out of it is unconditionally and absolutely Haraam. On the basis of obligatory precaution, this is not allowed even for retaliating to magic in general. The exception to this being, when there is no alternate to this and there is a requirement that is of higher significance in nature, like saving a momins life who is being affected by magic. By magic it is meant to influence the mind of a person through influencing of the sight or hearing or similar aspects of a person.

Let us refer to the Holy Quran in this regard:

"They said: O Musa! Will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast? He said: Cast. So when they cast, they deceived the people's eyes and frightened them, and they produced a mighty enchantment."(Araaf 7: 115-116).

"He said: Nay! Cast down. Then lo! Their cords and their rods – it was imaged to him on account of their magic as if they were running."(TaHa 20: 66).

This is how we have defined magic in the above point.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him

Dua e Sabasab can be used to protect oneself from magic and all other evils. This Dua'a is accredited to Imaam Saahibaz Zamaan (A.S.). It is recited to drive away the enemy, to dispel the spell of magic or sorcery, and to seek fulfillment of desires, material as well as spiritual.
Recite Dua As- Simaat
Shaykh Tusi, Sayyid ibna Tawus and Kafami report that this dua'a, according to Muhammad ibn Uthman Umri, a reliable represetative of Imam Sahibuz Zaman, was taught by Imam Muhammad bin Ali Al Baqir and Imam Jafar bin Muhammad Al Sadiq. Allama Majlisi says that all the pious religious scholars used to recite this dua'a. Shaykh Kafami says that this dua'a contains izmi azam (the great name of Allah). Imam Muhammad bin Ali Al Baqir advised the faithfuls to recite this dua'a as it brings the downfall of the enemies of Ahl ul Bayt. Imam Jafar bin Muhammad Al Sadiq(as) said that Allah swt taught this dua'a to prophet Musa to overcome his enemies. This dua'a is particularly recited in the closing hours before sunset on Friday .

) has said: An evil omen affects only in the measure you consider it to possess. If you take it lightly, its influence would be trivial, but if you regard it seriously, it would affect you immensely and if you totally disregard it, it would have no effect.Ibid
