We congratulate our twelfth imam, Imam Mahdi (PBUH), our righteous Ulama, and to the whole world on the greatest Eid in Islam which is Eid Al-Ghadeer , the day which Islam was completed and perfected after Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) declared in front of 90,000-120,000 people, that Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib is the Vicegerent, Caliph, Imam, and Leader After him .
O Messenger! Deliver what has been revealed to you from your Lord; and if you do it not, then you have not delivered His message, and Allah will protect you from the people; surely Allah will not guide the unbelieving people. (Quran 5:67)
In his last will, Hazrath Ali (PBUH) said: "I advise you, and all my children, my relatives, and whosoever receives this message, to be conscious of Allah, to remove your differences, and to strengthen your ties. I heard your grandfather, peace be upon him, say: "Reconciliation of your differences is more worthy than all prayers and all fasting. Maintain communication and exchange of opinion among yourselves. Beware of disunity and enmity. Do not desist from promoting good deeds and cautioning against bad ones. Should you do that the worst among you would be your leaders, and you will call upon Allah without response." (Najul Balagha)
Important points about the mentioned verse:
- This is the only verse in only Quran where Allah addressed the prophet as يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ . In no other verse Allah addresses Prophet in this way this shows the importance of the order. Obviously almighty Allah addressed Prophet by his designation (Rasool) to show the importance of the order.
- Almighty Allah said "If you do it not, then you have not delivered His message" . Again this is important of the message. This is the usual way of addressing adopted by Holy Quran that Holy Quran addresses Prophet while the real addresses is "Ummah". Here Allah by saying that "If you do it not, then you have not delivered his message" (at all) said to Ummah that if you did not accept this message you did not accept the prophet hood of Prophet. So this order is so much connected with "Islam".
- Allah almighty used the word بَلِّغْ which means send immediately without any interval. Allah did not use "Ibligh" (which means that you may send later). بَلِّغْ means send instantly without taking into consideration the surrounding circumstance. This also shows the importance of the message of "Ghadeer".
